After everyone witnessing the release of the new nexus 7, Google introduced its latest Android operating system that went by the name jelly bean. Android 4.3 became the talk of the town as many different companies applied this operating system in their new devices. Some of the devices that were designed to run using this version of android were the nexus 7, the nexus 10 tablets, nexus 4 Smartphone, Samsung galaxy nexus and many other devices.
After the introduction of this great operating system, it was noted that it was not fully complete. It has other features missing but still worked well. However the good news is that now, the key features are available. These key features are:-
1. Bluetooth smart support
This is one of the areas that android devices did not have for some years. With this upgrade, android 4.3 now gives you the ability to synchronize low energy Bluetooth devices like heart rate, monitors and the Fitbit flex. Due to this fact, the battery consumption is minimized at a certain percentage.
It has been predicted that this upgrade will give way to another android friendlier wearable device. Well, we can’t be sure if it will indeed do that, all we have to do is to wait and see if it will do that.
2. OpenGL ES 3.0
This is another great upgrade for Android developers. This new platform provides a more advanced level of 3D graphical rendering. In other words, through this upgrade, every android gamer will indeed notice the difference because their devices will be able to support 3D graphic detail like shadow, lighting, body skin as well as many other features.
Through this upgrade, Android users can now expect some visual stunning games not far in the near future.
3. Restricted profiles
As every android user knows that the new Android operating system was placed with multi-user profile capabilities. Therefore, due to this fact, security is required if there are people using this feature. Well, this new android 4.3 upgrade has added a new restricted profile option.
This simply means that now users have the ability to restrict access to certain apps or even change the way apps behaves for others when using the Android device. For example, if you have a kid and you would like to restrict some of the apps, you can now do it successfully. Moreover, you have the ability to restrict the places where purchase is required in an app when your kid uses your device.
4. Android 4.3 apps
With some of the updates being downloaded to any compatible devices, the android 4.3 friendly apps have been updated onto Google play. This update will help people who do look for apps on Google play get apps that are compatible with their devices.
5. Notification access
One of the key strengths of any operating systems including android is the ability or usefulness of the notification bar. With this new upgrade to android 4.3, now third party apps have the ability to access the notification area. This is good because it would make synchronizing information process between two Android devices a very simple process.
